Project Description
Rotary Club of Chitwan, in collaboration with the Spouse Club of Rotary Club of Chitwan, conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program at Shree Bhanu Secondary School, Bandipur–2, Tanahun, focusing on promoting awareness, healthy practices and confidence among adolescent girls. The session covered personal hygiene, health and sanitation practices during menstruation and encouraged students to maintain proper menstrual hygiene. The program also aimed to reduce hesitation, embarrassment and stigma surrounding menstruation and create a supportive environment where adolescent girls can openly discuss menstrual health and seek appropriate information and support. Rtn. Gehendra Man Shrestha, President of Rotary Club of Chitwan, emphasized the importance of health education and awareness in promoting the well-being of young people. Tilak Bahadur Kunwar, Ward Chairperson of Bandipur Rural Municipality–2 and Chairperson of the School Management Committee, attended the program as the Chief Guest. Rotarians, spouse members, teachers, school representatives and other stakeholders participated in the awareness campaign. The program was facilitated by Rtn. Roshan Kharel, Secretary, Rotary Club of Chitwan, and reflected the continued commitment of Rotary Club of Chitwan and the Spouse Club toward promoting health, dignity, confidence and well-being among students.
